I'm only 19, have very thick hair, and haven't began to lose hair yet.. The problem is, I have this sort of naturally receded hairline, that I've always had (even if I look at pictures from when I was 5), so even though I haven't lost any hair, it looks like I'm starting to recede on the sides (lower than the temple). I don't have the triangle or square that many people have, it's just a straight line. I always thought it was the haircuts I was getting that was making it like that, but now I realize, it's my hairline, and I hate it! It is freaking me out, my confidence in myself is shot, and I notice that the hairline can really change the whole shape of your face. Everybody my age that I compare myself to has that triangular shape, I only see people with hairlines like mine in their 30s! Even my cousin, who is 29, has more receded temples than me, but still has that shape on the sides right above the ears, and truthfully, his hair shape looks better than mine because of it.
What I am wondering is, if it is safe to do a hair transplant surgery, say in three years (when I am 22 or 23), to correct that. I would definitely go for a conservative transplant, because I know it is tricky with the temples, because if they recede more it creates an island effect. I also am wondering if I get the sides done (the more triangular shape) if it will effect the temples or not, because then that would obviously complicate the shape design. I don't mind if my temples recede (the circle shape), but I don't like having just a straight line under that. Here are some pictures of me so you can see (It looks like I have a Norwood 2 with less hair on the side and more on the top, unclassifiable!):

See, my hair is thick, but on the sides it's just a straight line, and often I have to comb my hair forward or straight down just to fill it out. I'd like to be able to comb that side hair back, but then it would look like I'm missing half of my hair.
Here is the spot I am talking about:

See how they have that thick patch of hair on the side that I don't have?
Oh, I guess one last thing, since I've never tried.. Could hair growth stimulants (preferably some natural kind of stimulant) maybe help this? Again, I've never had hair in that area, and I know stimulants only help hair to grow thicker, so it may not help..
