Hello!
I (33 years old) desperately need some advice.
I have no visible hair loss (only slightly receeding hairline) but all over my head I notice that there are many short hairs which are definitely not from cutting cause I never cut my hair that short. I had a trichoscan and the result was that I have too many hairs which are in the telogen state. I think it was 25%. The Doctor said 15% would have been normal. He said nothing about the short hairs.
I have been using topical Alfatradiol for a few months but it doesn't seem to help.
What do these short hairs mean? Are these hairs which are degenerating?
This is definitely not normal. If these were normal fresh hairs then they would sooner or later be as long as the rest of the hair but this never happens. I have been noticing this for years! It looks really ugly. I have to comb my hair back and use a lot of gel so that you can't see these short hairs.
