whats with this damn sideburn hair?

its my fourth month on 1mg finasteride and ketoconazole shampoo. amongst other supplements.

i'm losing hair from the sideburns like anything and the nape of the neck. if i tug gently i end up with 2-3 everytime, some thin some thick. the nape of my neck has receded about close to half an inch up. Is it normal to lose this much hair from the sideburns and nape area when you have male pattern baldness?

I also have a raised TSH of 4.3 and have quite a few thyroid/adrenal deficiency symptoms so i'm wondering whether the safe zone areas i mentioned have anything to do with that. its 1 pm at the moment and my basal temperature is 96.8 . *shrugs

Do people with male pattern baldness lose hair from sideburns/back of neck?

My hair right above the sideburns has gotten a lot thinner in the last 15 months while being on finasteride.

dont tug? the hairs in telogen! you'll lose it whether you TUG or not!..i'm just asking whether its ok to be losing hair from the sideburns which're supposed to be in the 'safe zone'
