What's Up With Joleon Lescott's Hairline?

Just watching MOTD2 at the moment and Joleon Lescott is one of the pundits. I'm reminded by what a rather peculiar hairline he has. Has anybody seen someone with temples like this before? If I was him I would carefully shape them so he gets the triangular effect.
