Whats The Verdict On Diffused Thinning In Men?

Hey HairLossTalk.com forum!

Im 24 years old and my hair quality has SLOOOWLY been suffering since age 16. i took a year of a5r inhibitors which basically made my hair look godlike, but had to get off because of side effects (gynocomastia, erectile dysfunction etc.)

i suppose im still TECHNICALLY NW1, but my hair is so thin it looks like crap in any light. Im looking to have a few hair transplants, ideally put 8000+ grafts up over 3 sessions or so. Is this reasonable? are there other, superior options to deal with diffused thinning?

Thanks!

Hey catman. I'm 22 and my hair has been slowly thinning since 16 as well, but just from the front. This past 2 years it has shown in the middle as well, leaving the very front not as thin, but still thinning. This makes it hard to style because you can see straight through from the temples.

I also have no intention of using finasteride or really anything oral. I can't say whether or not that's reasonable but why don't you want to try other treatments first? Such as minoxidil, keto shampoos, biotin etc

Hey! Thanks for your response.

I use a keto shampoo regularly. In the past ive used all sorts of sprays and shampoos with none really making a worthwhile difference. I need to hope one of the new upcoming treatments finds a cure.

Hey, no problem!

I see you use nizoral, how long have you been on it? When you say sprays and shampoos, do you mean concealers or something like minoxidil? Which other shampoos have you tried and for how long?

8000+ graft? Bit extreme to be honest.

You still have great hair at the front, I definitely feel that you could benefit from natural supplements actually. One could be Ashwaganda, its a supplement that apparently helps to balance hormones. You might be interested in that. I've been taking it for 3 months for clarity of mind and stuff like that but not seen any real differences in my hair (maybe i'm not taking enough?)
