What's The Point Of Continuous Use Of Nizoral?

I was thinking about doing one "treatment" of Nizoral (as it's described on the package) just to be sure that I get rid of any potential fungal crap on my head. I don't think I have any, but just because.

Why is Nizoral used continuously by most people? What's the reasoning? Shouldn't you be "cured" after using it as described?

Ketakonazole, if I spelled it right, has antiandrogenic properties so in theory, it might kill some dht and other androgen at the hair follicle.
