What's the best scalp cleanser for Minoxidil residue?

The brand of minoxidil I buy in my country doesn't come with a scalp cleanser. It comes with a specially formulated shampoo though (like I actually needed it).

My hair is growing at a normal rate. I don't know if my hair count has decreased. The only thing noticeable is the thinning of the strands.

I can grow my hair, comb-over it, then I won't look bald, saving myself from stress.

I notice that when I scratch the scalp that I put minoxidil on, I notice some flakes (even after shampooing). I can't say whether those flakes are dried scalp or minoxidil residue. But I assume they're the latter.

The user manual of the minoxidil brand I bought don't suggest a specific brand for a scalp cleanser, but it suggests alcohol (it didn't specify if its ethyl or isoprophyl) as an alternative.

Is this advisable?

Also, I'm having difficulty cleaning my scalp because of my long hair strands that I don't plan to cut short. What brand of scalp cleanser won't affact my hair when I put it on?
