So I have been on Minoxidil for 4 months now and from what I can see it has improved the crown of my head. My problem area has always been my hairline and it has gotten worse in these 4 months. I know 4 months isn't giving it a long time but I seriously doubt it will improve. Has anyone ever had success restoring or growing hair with something other than minoxidil that can be bought online? I may start topical spironolactone again as folligen cream it too weak. Thanks.

Yeah over the past month or so I started taking finasteride everyday opposed to every other day, will continue minoxidil for another few months.

Haha yea it may be a bad idea. I will add groganics cream...probably absolute crap but it's cheap enough to try.

my initial shedding from rogaine got better at around 4-5 month mark. Stay on something for more then 6 months and take pictures!! then you can evaluate if something works. I thought my hair was worse after 8-10 months, because of all the shedding and looking at my hair everyday, but when I compared the pics I saw it was better. Rogaine did nothing for my bald temples, but the existing front hair is thicker and denser.
If you are young I think it's not worth taking finasteride. I even wouldn't take it if it was my last option. I took it for a month and didn't have any sides, but there was just something not right. Just my oppinion

Thanks for the encouragement. It will be 4 months Feb 21. The thing is I have a lot of tiny hairs where my hairline used to be but they just dont want to grow. I am losing slowly but hopefully things will turn around.
