Research on PGD2 continues.
"Any items found to be elevated in bald scalp might be a product of that state rather than a cause of it." Interesting- i was saying that all along and you guys gave me neg.rep. every time i mentioned it.They are still sceptic.
Therefore it was important to demonstrate that PGD2 indeed did decrease hair lengthening in both man and mouse. Therefore, we tested the effect on PGD2 on mouse models with inactivating mutations in each of the receptors for PGD2 --- PTGDR (DP-1) or GPR44 (DP-2). While PTGDR was not required for PGD2 to inhibit hair growth, GPR44 was required. Recent work from our group has shown that just as PGD2 and GPR44 inhibit hair growth, they also inhibit hair follicle regeneration after wounding(36).
Please read the very next line. A causal relationship has been demonstrated experimentally. It is not just a correlation.
Of course they are optimistic, they are on a good way to manipulate data and to create the "revolutionary cure" for baldness. forget it! In my opinion thats a step back in comparison to 5ar inhibitors. They are just working on a new angle to sell more ****.

maher, you seem happy to cherry pick and quote parts from the paper in isolation when it supports your paranoid, tin-foil hat ideology.
It just didn't work, as all the other "mad scientist" treatments people on internet forums came up with.
Don't waste your time arguing with maher. If I recall well, he was the one vehemently advocating that masturbation caused hair loss. Enough said.
Of course I filter out MOUSE MODEL EXPERIMENTS! Did you know that German scientiests cured mice infected with HIV in 2010? You are obviously incapable of inteligente debate, insulting is the only thing you're good in.
Again maher, it is clear you have not actually read (or understood, which is fine, but either way you are not in an informed enough position to criticise) the study in question. PGD2 was shown to have the same effect on explanted human hair follicles.
The abstract references selenium chloride (59) as a potential future treatment. Does anyone care to touch this one?

We are in the same spot as back when this discovery first came out. Guessing how important this might be for prevention/regrowth and if we will ever see any real treatment based off this. Not exactly the cure in 2 years most of the media told us though
I opted out of CET as I was feeling ill effects of it
