What would your hair be like, if you never took meds?

I was just wondering about this today, i was thinking if my hair would be in a worse situation than it is now, if i had never taken finasteride, nizoral, or minoxidil. Or maybe it might even be in a healthier condition. I know its impossible to answer, but i was just curious how you folks felt about it?

I for one believe that i would almost be in the exact same situation, as it seems difficult to tame this damn hairline recession.

One positive, is that i feel i'm doing all i can about my hair loss. So in a way, thinking about where i would be (hair wise) if i wasnt on meds, gives me a slight relieve. In the future i will know that i have done everything i possibly could have.

I'm a NW3, but i'd be a NW4 or 5 for sure.

That's the thing about getting on the meds really early, it's good as you prevent loss, but you never really get to know how bad your hair loss would be...as for me, I knew I was fucked, meds are a life saver

A question along a similar theme - What would happen to a person who took finasteride that wasn't suffering male pattern baldness? I often wonder if I jumped the gun on finasteride and had it made my hair thinner. Likely/Possible?

I really don't see how getting on finasteride even if you don't have male pattern baldness will hurt your hair.

Only reason I can really think of is if your unfortunate enough to get hyperandrogenicity from it.
