What would happen if you completely block dht and pgd2 from the scalp?

If you completely remove dht and pgd2 from the scalp so there is absolute 0% dht and pgd2 on your hair follicles, what would happen? I am sure that it would probably stop hair loss but do you guys think that there would be a lot of hair regrowth?

I don't know how you would plan to do this without also effecting brain health. Pgd2 is found through out the brain. DHT type 1 2 and 3 also have different roles in the brain as well, although signs point to this only really applying to prenatal babies. Could be the same for pgd2 as well. Maybe it only effects infants.

I just wish the FDA made them do more studies on this **** so that we had more clear answers to all of these things we don't know. The 80's and 90's weren't the most ethical eras of our time. All we know is that most men seem to tolerate finasteride find from Merck funded studies.

And topicals do get absorbed into your system. Don't be convinced otherwise.

Honestly hair loss prevention is starting to look futile to me. Finasteride: Most likely does have an effect on your body long-term. Whether well tolerated or noticeable is questionable. Results might not be great for many, and effectiveness might wear out over time. Also many men will most likely not take it their whole life. Minoxidil: Not effective for many people: effectiveness often decreases after 1 year of use. Well tolerated in most but not for everyone. Nizoral. Not even sure if effective.

I'm not a big fan of topicals or pills. Or surgery. Next week I'm sure I wll be all for all 3 again sigh :/

Still thinking about it. Don't see how it's possible when I tend to keep reading about it online. However I'm starting to speculate sides started to get way out of proportion when people were motivated to shill for their snake oils. Then again there are many a shill for finasteride out there as well. I wish there were more long term users on the forums. Guys that have taken it less than me really can't help me out. I was on it 8.5 years. I could care less that someone took it 10 months or 2 years without sides. I want to see members dating back to 2002 come back and be like yeah I took it for 10 years. Quit to have a couple kids. Went back on it and am doing great. I'm just not seeing any hard evidence of that on the forums. Lots
of long term users come on here to talk of why they quit because of sides. Ugh.

I think younger guys, teens or early 20s, have better tolerance for finasteride since their endocrine system is still more flexible and able to produce healthy T level. Guys around 30 often reports finasteride stopped working or they get sides. Its hard to predict whats gonna happen since its very complex, dynamic system.

I don't think there is a rhyme or reason. I've heard the exact opposite of
that. I've read just about every contradictory thing you can on the drug.

Get some blood tests once a week or so in conjunction with varying finasteride doses. Try and find the sweetspot for your hormone levels. If your dht is already low, then it just means more sensitivity in the follicle, and anymore lowering of dht may cause the neurological effects from gaba inhibition.

You can also supplement with some herbs that countteract certain effects, such as ashwaghanda whilst maintaining the lessened type 2 dht.

No one has the money to get those tests. The results of those tests wouldn't say much anyway. And changing doses doesn't matter. The 5 mg pamphlet side effect percentages actually include 1 mg doses in it since they were the same. There is no significant difference between 1 mg and 5 mg. same with .2 mg. basically you're treating your prostate even though it doesn't need to be treated. In fact. Many young men taking propecia are probably stunting their prostate growth.

The most effective way to block both is nofap. I haven't fapped in almost 6 months and had both levels checked on my scalp and they are almost nonexistent. It really is the most effective hair loss treatment.

I pray to the holy nofap gods. I'm more or less practice a form of Buddhism called nofapism. I recommend it! No religious guilt here.

So basically you are saying don't fap and hair will grow back? every topic about it is almost full of comments that it isn't true because of that I really have my doubt about it... Can't judge though if it really doesn't work, who knows.
