What to expect with Finasteride?

Just wondering how much to expect?

I'm not looking for a miracle cure. I know Minoxidil is better/quicker at regrowing hair and that finasteride is generally looked at more as a maintenance tool, but I'm a bit confused on what exactly is maintaining.

I'm a heavy hair loser with combs and any attempt at shampooing my hair with more than a pat down, and am really hoping finasteride can take away the cruddy feeling of a hand/comb full of hair. I've cut down on doing both, but still need a little as general upkeep/a little cover-up.

I already took the plunge and bought 6 strips from inhouse, but will I be satisfied? Don't worry, I'm not going to be a two-month and quitter, I'm in it for the long haul.

finasteride is for maintenance AND it will make you thinning hairs as thick as those on the back of your head. If you're looking to regrow some hair, you should absolutely add minoxidil to the mix and keta schampoo every 3 days for 5 minutes. Forget the foam, it makes your hair look awful. Look into Dr Lees standard minoxidil (500). It's cheap and it's the cleanest minoxidil available.

not true...if you have male pattern baldness, you top will still be thinner than your sides.

If finasteride can fully reverse the process, there will be much lesser balding guys here and there.

finasteride does help maintain your exising hair however, thickening/regrowth is a bonus. It works differently from man to man, be consistent on it but don't expect miracles. GL!

Yeah, I think there is a good chance for you to see less hairs in your comb/hands. For me personally it seemed to slow down my hair loss (agressive as well), but only Dutasteride and minoxidil now seems to have stopped it. I now see no more hairs in my hands/comb. Just my experience
