Yes, very good stuff, Bruce. Thanks.

If you come across any more enviromental estrogen sources I'd be interested to hear. I personally don't eat a lot of red meat, but I do buy Foster Farms chicken which I BELIEVE is hormone-free. (I'll have to read the label next time.) I also get rbst-free milk.

What say you on the topic of green tea? Do you have an opinion on that??

Thanks, Bruce.

I will be looking into green tea. Actually, I have found it impossible to get a complete list of foods by phytoestrogen content. If you find one, please post as I will.\

Im suprised that more of the guys that work out werent aware of soy and its link to elevated estrogen. This topic has been talked about for a few years now in the bodybuilding circles.

Good read though, Bruce.

I dont know how anyone can eat that crap to begin with, its just plain awful. :freaked2: :D

I agree. The thing is that it is getting that they are sneaking it in other foods, like protein bars, shakes etc.

Insidious plot to get us all to be metrosexuals I bet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hairy:

I take a product called Udo's Choice. It's mainly flax oil, but it also has a combination of other oils.

These "metrosexual" types might very well be straight, but I have an irrational fear of spending any quality time with one in a steam room.

Not sure why. It might be that I still have lingering doubts about their orientation. Or, perhaps it might be that after a good manly workout I don't want color commentary from the metrosexual peanut gallery in the sauna telling me that they think I don't do a good enough job of keeping my pubic region trimmed and groomed. It is just something that, as a man, I would NOT want to take up as a preoccupation to the extent that these metrosexual types would. Do you know what I mean? They obsess on things that I would rather just leave unmentioned. I mean, come on, I'M A MAN, DAMMIT, and if I have a little birds' nest of chest hair I don't think I should get sh*t for not waxing it. I'M A MAN!... I'm SUPPOSED to have some chest hair!?

Back to the comment about hairloss halting at central points in growing older, I sure hope that I fall into that category. I actually would be cool if I lost no more hair, and just patched up the thin areas with another year or so on finasteride and Min. Things have not changed much within a year. I mean they have not got much worse at all, but I can't imagine what things would be like if not for my regimen. I would consider those of us who may not experience more hairloss lucky as hell.

I think that 5-alpha reductace is supposed to gradually climb as one gets older. That would mean more DHT formation as you get older. Even if testosterone levels decline, which they eventually do, it doesn't matter because it doesn't take much testosterone to make DHT. As one gets older their hair loss problem gets worse as well. Thats one problem. Then of course other stuff like the immune system and other stuff like hormones(growth hormone, IGF-1, etc.) also go through a bit of a change too. That coupled with DHT makes everything worse. :hairy: :hairy:
