You could try to cut it short and see if the overall effect improves.

Finasteride for quite a few years but im not consistent i always end up not taking it for months sometimes.. so im currently on again for past 2 months. not sure about brand ill have to check which is the best brand to take and whats the worst?

i have never used rogain or minoxidi and also i did went to dermatologist he prescribed me finasteride as i requested him he bascially didnt give a rats ***

If you’ve been on finasteride for over year and it hasn’t had your desired outcome then add in minoxidil. It will give you a nice boost, especially as a diffuse thinner but its a lifelong comittment.

I use it 2x a day and recommend 5%. I haven’t experienced sides but there are side effects related to all drugs so look into it if you’re worried.

Yes both are a lifelong commitment but minoxidil is much more of a pain to keep up. With finasteride you just pop a pill everyday. With minoxidil you have those messy applications morning and night. I still think adding in minoxidil to my routine was a great addition even if it’s a pain at times.

Minoxidil forces your hair into the anagen phase, this is where hair grows. It extends this period so you will experience less shedding and more growth. Your hair will become dependent on it so any growth will stop and you will shed hair once you stop. Further minoxidil is a vasodilator, it dilates the blood vessels and brings more oxygen and nutrients to your hair follicles. It is safe to use while attempting to have children if you are a male. But avoid contact if female.

finasteride decreases seminal fluid but does not impact your sperm directly so it should be safe to use while attempting to have children.
But i would stop use for a couple weeks while attempting to get pregnant.
Further avoid direct contact of ether medication if you are pregnant, nursing and avoid contact with children.

It may cause a initial shed while your hair follicles transition into the growth stage. You should not let that psych you out and stop treatment. The shed will stop and you will have more terminal hair follicles.
