Which shampoo do you guys use? I have been using nizoral for some time, but it has only made the itching worse, so I am thinking, I may be allergic to it. So I want to try another shampoo. Should I just pick a cheap one, or can use guys recommend one? I am on finasteride, and am losing a lot of hair. Something to help me get rid of the itching would be amazing! :)

Nizoral (1% Ketoconazole) is also harsh on my scalp (it causes rashes), so much so that I can't even leave it on my scalp for more than a minute now. This never happened to me when I used DS Laboratories' Revita, which also contains 1% Ketoconazole. Maybe Revita's many other ingredients buffer the harshness of this chemical? I could leave Revita on for as long as I like without any side effects.

Also, Nizoral has sodium laureth sulfate, Revita doesn't if I remember correctly.

Another good shampoo candidate is RegenePure (from what I read on this forum), it has Ketoconazole as well and doesn't have sodium laureth sulfate but instead something that sounds eerily similar: Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate - I wonder if this is safer than SLS...?

Body Shop Ginger Shampoo with Piroctone Olamine, which has the same effect as Nizoral. Just remember, nizoral won't do anything on it's own. You'd be better off with some Xandrox and spironolactone or at least some minoxidil. As far as itching goes though, nothing, for me at least, beats Tricomin.
