And no one likes loosing their hair, and I mean no one. They just accepted it after suffering for years.
Most of my balding friends are now at Nw6 or 7. With treatment, maybe they could’ve stayed at Nw3.
Many people see ads from manufacturers and the first thing they think is “snake oil†or “too much hassle†or “to expensive†or “it only works at the vertexâ€.
If they bothered to visit forums like this one, or search the Internet, they could become educated about all the different treatments available and their pros and cons. It’s hard to make a decision just by watching a TV commercial.
And all of my friends and family have a computer with Internet access, and they could pay for any treatment available if they wanted to. Many people don’t want to be bothered with topicals, pills and possible side effects.
Many people don't go to sites like this because they think the comercials already told them the important info. If it leaves any out, it will be the bad stuff, not the good stuff, they think. So if it says it only works in back, many Norwood 2's and 3's give up. I did. I reached NW3 because of that miss-information.
What really sucks about the miraculous claims of snake oil ads is women point at them and say, "see? there is a cure, but these baldies are too lazy to go get it." They say the same about breast pills and penis pills and acne treatments. And propecia only stops hair loss in 17% of men at the 1 year mark. I never regrew 90 hairs per circular inch. I think my thinning just slowed way down.
