alot of people have given me advice on this and im just not too sure if im at that stage where i need to start minoxidil. im only 23 and thats a committment for life. finasteride would be my best option huh?

Maybe Norwood 1.75 But definitively a Solid 2

Yes apply minoxidil all you want as long as you are going to do it the rest of your life.

I say nw2 but you have a large forehead so that makes it look worse. People tend to not take forehead size into account when discussing hairlines.

that is not it at all, saf. i took it into consideration but take a look at that frontal tuft of hair. it is probably close to 3.5 inches above the eyebrows. He is an Norwood 2.5.

I don't really know much about spironolactone but I think it's more like minoxidil so it would still come in handy alongside the finasteride.

No, topical spironolactone is a topical DHT Blocker. You don´t need it when you are on finasteride already.

spironolactone is an anti androgenic topical. It can block testosterone from attaching to the androgen receptor as well, I do believe, something that dutasteride and finasteride cannot do. Finasteride and dutasteride reduce 5ar2 production so that the level of DHT is dramaticallly reduced, so that less can do harm. spironolactone actually physically helps stop the androgens from attaching to the receptors from what I understand.
