How can u judge a Norwood stage from hair line..

In male pattern pattern baldness..
Hairline is preserved while it goes away in Female pattern baldness from start in males who bald at 40.
So if suppose your dad has male pattern baldness even though they are old..
There may be loss of hairs from parital and occipatal region...

Dude, do you even know what male pattern pattern baldness is? I also never heard that some thing such as female pattern baldness exists... lol

So from what can you tell that someone has male pattern baldness? From the length of their nose hair?

Ask you dad 100 $,go to market and buy dermatology book.

Read in that what is Male pattern Baldness and what is Female pattern baldness.
Male pattern balness sets earlier in age and did not affect hairline first.
My hair line as a male pattern baldness didnot erode in 2008 though my hairloss started at 2004.
My hair first went from parietal and occipital region.

A word of wisdom for you..

please don't think that you become a research scientist after reading few wikipidia pages and paper presentation on Internet which the doctors prepare by just copying only relevant info they think are correrct.

Just look at the pic of Female Pattern baldness from my pg preparation book.

Here is the treatment for baldness in females too.

It was an impossible task to compress a 4 mb pic to below 100 kb upload, this is not good Hairloss Talk.
Raise the limit please.

I don't think it's fair to say that male pattern baldness never affects the hairline first. Mine most definitely did. Maybe there was miniaturization elsewhere, but not a cosmetically significant amount. My temples were completely gone by the time I noticed thinning in the crown/vertex.

True..it is written in the page..

But i suffered huge blow no hairloss was on my hairline..until few year when my crown area was really gone..
This cause me to be less attentive and less damaging to me because even though i had hairloss..its effect on my face was low because it was not apparent on hairline..

But still my observation is hair goes from top first in many person..
They may look NW0 even when crown was gone...or affected much.
