Saw him today about non-hairloss issues. Discussed Propecia however and he said he didn't think 18 months was giving it enough time. He reckoned patients of his responded best around the 2 - 3 year mark.

What y'all think of this? Most advice I've seen is to give it 12 months. Is it possible many guys are just not giving it long enough?

You would expect your hairloss to have halted in 12 months.

How does your hair compare now to 12 months ago?

'Difficult to tell' is a good thing, as your loss stopping is a success.

That's all you can expect from finasteride in 12 months.

The basic 2 year study was (roughly):
90% stopped loss
40% regrowth

I see you're on finasteride plus minoxidil... to be fair you should expect some regrowth, you're unlucky if that's not the case.

I suggest you start taking regular photos so you can be more sure of your progress.
