What Is The Role Of Menthol In Hair Growth?

Hello friends,
One of the most important active ingredients of peppermint oil is menthol. It is also scientifically proven that peppermint oil extracts hair. Can we use the menthol together with minoxidil? When we apply mentholated shampoos to our scalp, we notice that our pores are opened incredibly. Should we use menthol for better penetration of our minoxidil pores? Thank you.

I have tried the natural approach. After quitting minoxidil months ago, I began using castor oil, peppermint oil, rosemary oil, and almond oil along with dermarolling. I used peppermint oil mixed with shampoo in the shower as well. Now I use a hims shampoo with multiple oils in the ingredients. My hair has only gotten progressively worse in the period since beginning to use oils. My take on oils is they're a crock of sh*t. Unless there's some special method to applying them that I'm missing, they do absolutely nothing.

Sorry I went on a tangent about oils, you said menthol as the main ingredient in peppermint oil. I used peppermint oil by itself for months with no results. Coupled with minoxidil, is there a joint effect? I can't say. But by itself and with other oils, it did nothing for me.

There is little to no evidence that any known natural product/substance is an effective treatment for male pattern baldness. Menthol is not going to grow your hair back. You need to stick with proven medical male pattern baldness treatments if you want to realistically be treating your hair loss effectively.
