I have been through 3 heavy sheds now and am beginning to see some promising regrowth from a 3 month shed. I have tried a tested a few things and want to share best practise.

First of all I am confident that there is a strong correlation between weightlifting and hair loss. Everytime I go back to the gym and start weight training I experience a huge shed around a month or two later, it's not worth it... its happened twice now I've learned that it seems to have a very negative effect for me.

Secondly call me crazy but I am sure there is a difference between UK regaine and us rogaine. Everytime I have switched from rogaine to regaine I have experienced shedding. I now buy us supply rogaine from amazon.

thirdly routine... I have found that if you do not follow a strict routine (finasteride eaten at the same time period every day, minoxidil applied the same Time every day) a shed may occur. Get a routine and stick to it strictly.

Fourth, general diet. I have found that improving my diet (nothing to strict just three solid meals a day and lots of water) always makes a positive difference and stops the shed.

I have no experience with derma rolling but I don't think pricking holes through your head with a rolling pin of needles sounds like a good idea. I seriously doubt the legitimacy of this product.

Not trying to be rude, but I think your mind is playing tricks on you. Taking finasteride at 8 a.m. one day and the next day at 8:30 a.m. isn't going to do ****.

If you stop weight training after years of training you will suffer even more health problems - the body builds blood supply to supply the new growth of muscle, and now when you stop, it all collapses and shrinks, causing poor circulation, ideal for heart attack in the near future.

Do other forms of exercise like body weight exercises - it affects the hormones and resets the hormone system in the body - and weight training with very light weights and high reps will greatly help too.

I found that jogging helped stop all shedding, so I incorporated that into my 3-4 times a week exercise.

Here is an article I found that explains the dangers of stopping exercise: http://www.hairgrowthshampooreviews.com/dangers-of-stopping-exercise/

It basically explains the bad effects of exercise if you stop it altogether - be it yoga, weight training or cardio.
