What happens when propecia works?

Nothing happens. When propecia works, NOTHING is supposed to happen :D

To clarify Stingray's comment ... you should see reduced hair *loss* after a minimum of 6 months, and possibly after waiting 12 months. After that, most people see nothing, which is a good thing, because they're no longer losing their hair. According to the clinical data, a small percentage (roughly 20-45%) will see minor new hair growth/thickening... but Propecia (and all DHT inhibitors) is primarily a maintenance treatment, not a growth stimulant.

I don't really need a medal. In fact, I would give my life to be one of the responders!

Did anyone take a full year before they see any impact?

Hey, has anyone else not seen a reduction in hair loss, but still seen improvement. I still lose the same amount of hair but it is definitely growing faster now on finasteride.

What happens when Propecia works? The simple way to explain it is that there is a party on your scalp and all your hair is invited.
