What happens, if you don't let the glue dry?

Has anyone dried? What happens, if you don't let it dry at all? If you think of the physics, is it really possible that the water just doesn't evaporate? After some time, and ofcouse it takes longer, if it's not as exposed to air, because the lace is already on, it still has no other option to finally evaporate and then why shouldn't the glue start sticking in that state?
What happens, if you do it less than the instructions say? When doing touchups on small lifts for example, it's just too much to do all 4 layers and then wait 4--7 mins. I could use another glue for touchups, but it would be better still to use only one. And I don't definitely want to start using another glue: Gb Platinum just is best.
Thanks!

Depends if you're gluing a lace or skin base. You can get away with not letting the glue dry if you're gluing a skin/poly system, but with lace you risk the glue seeping through and clogging up the lace if you don't let the glue dry first. Either way, glue won't give a proper hold until it's dry anyway.
