Hey!

So im 29 soon to be 30 years old. I did my first hair transplant 5 years ago. You can watch the before after pictures here.

http://bellicapelli.forumfree.it/?t=58751998

Great results and i couldn't be happier. The last 5 years have been amazing.

During the first hair transplant we decided to make a second one in the future lowering my hairline if my hair loss was stable by then . I have a big round forhead so having a high hairline bother me. If im wasting grats in the front i want to be 100% happy about it.

Well Im sitting in a bed right now in turkey just after my second hair transplant. in total i have used 3565 FUE grafts for my front and some in the crown (around 200) witch i i think has begun to thin out.

Im actually counting on going bald and i think a hairline that frames your face makes or breaks the "bald look" (and a good shaped head ofc) . thats the reason i put so much work in the front.

So my question is. I have a full head of hair now, but i think (know?) im suffering from male pattern baldness. So i dont know how long this illusion will hold. I can accept thinning out and go for the real buzzed/shaved look but right now i have so much hair so it might be wise to start with something?

I have never taken anything for my hairloss before except natural remedies and healthy living.

here are some pictures. What is your take? Would you say male pattern baldness? what would you do in my situation?

dang dude, awesome hair transplant!! I rarely say this, but you look BAD *** with a shaved head. You're lucky. Plus, you now have an eternally awesome hair line, so why not just keep it buzzed and forget about hair loss forever?

male pattern baldness should not affect transplanted hair. So there's that.
I think you can pull the buzz cut even though you have bald patches in the future.
Congratulazioni

Absolutely.
You spent a lot in transplants. You should try Propecia and minoxidil right now IMHO

Yea im really thinking about it. The thing that bothers me though is that is a life long commitment. like if i stop everything falls out. i dont like the thought of being so dependent on something.
The sides i think is mostly in your head and worst case you just quit...

low dose propecia to hold you over, you'd probably do fine with .5-1mg on mon/wed/fri. Either way, your hair looks A1 right now, despite the minor thinning in the back!

btw, you're from italy im guessing? is the brotzu lotion getting alot of hype around there?

if you're from sicily, we're paysans haha.

yea might be a good start! thanks for the advice. haha no, im Swedish with Aramean parents. but many people think im Italian witch of course is a compliment ;). Im actually following the italian forums on the lotion anyways using the translate function and yea, its alot of hype. Im thinking about waiting to new years to see the progress with the lotion. depending on that ill decide if i start with Propecia or not.

You have the facial aesthetics to pull off the shaved/buzz look. I say just buzz it down to a very low setting and forget about your hair loss.

Thank you :). Going back and forth between that or trying finasteride. Think im going to make the decision close to next year. leaning towards finasteride.,
Is it really effective when it comes to maintaining ?

You have the head shape for short hair/buzzed look. Why not?

Keep the facial hair though.

Well because i have a full head of hair now so i might want to enjoy that before i cant anymore :). Yes, Facial hair is a must if you going shaved Imo.

Now I'm confused. You just recently got a hair transplant.

But you don't have a shaved head? (Thought they shaved it before the transplant??).

As long as you're happy with it, that's really all that matters!

Ah sorry. i meant that i have a full head of hair now if i want. Im shaved now because of my transplant and we talked about staying shaved and going for that look rather then saving my hair out and maybe noticing the hair loss more.. if that makes sense :)

haha, thank you brother. might as well get some tats and go full out "bad ***":rolleyes:
I say go for it. Looking again at your pics I genuinely think you'd look better with a buzz rather than with longer hair. Really rare to see that
