What Do You Guys Think About The Finasteride Effect On Neurosteroids ?

Neurosteroids like 3α-androstanediol (derived from DHT) and allopregnanolone (derived from progesterone) activate the GABAA receptor in the brain; because finasteride prevents the formation of neurosteroids, it functions as a neurosteroidogenesis inhibitor and may contribute to a reduction of GABAA activity. Reduction of GABAA receptor activation by these neurosteroids has been implicated in depression, anxiety, and sexual dysfunction.



For the fist time in 10 years i've been having social anxiety and feeling very weird in public. i'm not sure if it's just because of the corona virus or because of finasteride. But does anyone know if this is permanent? im worried that if i come off finasteride i wont go back tonormal

I saw it commonly reported but i don't know why it happens, never bothered to look for a correlation maybe give it a search on google and find out why is it happening...
