I just thought of another way apply minoxidil and other topicals. Apply it to the scalp like usual but don't massage it in with fingers. Instead take a brush, put the brush with brissle ends against the scalp, and work the topical in with small circles. Hopefully the brush will spread the topical over the scalp without getting any in your'e hair. I just thought it would be abetter way to apply without wasting any. What do ya all think.

Actually I meant a hairbrush but a toothbrush would probably be better. Sounds good.

Maybe along with the tooth brush you could use some Listerine and maybe it'll kill DHT. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :hairy: :hairy: :hairy:

The problem is, if you get to much minoxidil in your hair, a few hours later you will have the grayish residue. This is why I style my hair first, than apply minoxidil.

Wow, Cassin, you do that too!? I was afraid to mention the fact that I let my hair dry and style first before applying minoxidil!

When I applied my minoxidil right out of the shower, when the hair was wet, it just seemed to get all into my hair and then I'd have to wait for the greasiness to dry out before heading out the door. When I let my hair DRY FIRST, then a lot less of it got into my hair when I applied it.

I think it is because when the hair is dry, it is not weighed down on the head and the minoxidil simply runs beneath it, amongst the roots, etc., and very little of it gets into the hair. The dry hair is easier to part to apply, and the dry hair does not have that tendency to wrap itself around the dropper as it does when it is wet.

I still get a little in my hair... but because my hair is already dry and 'puffed up' off of my scalp, the minoxidil doesn't weigh the hair down like it used to.
