Is there anything that the Hair Clinics actually offer that is not publicly available?

What products make up their treatment plans?

I am talking about places like these...

http://www.ashleyandmartin.com.au/
http://www.advancedhair.com.au/
http://www.ihls.com.au/
http://medicalhairloss.com.au/
https://www.cliveclinics.com.au/

I assume minoxidil and finasteride are staples, but what other treatments are included? I read somewhere that Retin-A is added to their minoxidil? Do they use dutasteride? Specific vitamins? Saw Palmetto?

How many of these places involve hair pieces as part of their treatment? Is this what AdvancedHair's "Stand-by-Stand" is?

Short answer required - Does Laser Therapy (LLLT) actually work in regrowing hair?

If anyone knows the specifics of these places please share.

you have to either avoid or be VERY couscous of "hair clinics"
avoid advanced hair studio like the plague
as for rentin-A i think you should have a read of this: http://www.newhair.com/info/views-minoxidil-retin-a.asp

AHS is a toupee and i wouldn't invest your money on anything that tries to disguise it's a toupee

i really don't know about laser therapy, from the therory it's based the only conclusion i have is that the laser combs DONT work but the helmets WILL work but i still at the point that i don't know if it's worth the money but i can tell you now the combs aren't
i just wonder why it has to be undiffused laser light and not LEDs :dunno:

Avoid those places they're the scum of the earth, only interested in playing on your insecurities to extort as much money from you as they can. (c****)

No products you can't buy yourself.

No advice you can't find here.

No way you'll get value for money.

Laser therapy is cheaper via buying a helmet than going to a clinic like this.

Thanks for the responses. I accept that these clinics do charge a high premium for their services, but I was hoping someone actually knew what products they use and if they have any 'tricks' to improve their results.

I can only agree with what has been said above, the best will only offer things which you can get elsewhere (usually much cheaper) and the worst will falsely sell you all kinds of phoney snake oils and "miracle" cures.

One thing I have noticed though is that even very best surgeons often offer additional treatments to get extra revenue (think how a beauty salon will also offer a range of products at retail), I would not count a surgeons supplemental business as a clinic though.

Something I would also be wary of is that some of them will even use fear and emotional blackmail as sales techniques, pointing out that you look in some way ugly; they will often offer you a special "today only" deal if you sign a contract that day. Run away from places in this category as fast as you can, as SAF said, scumbags.

Ashley and Martin - Laser Therapy, Minoxidil 5% with Retin-A and Proscar cut into 4ths as well as specially designed shampoos, vitamins Etc.

Advanced Hair Studios - Advanced Hair Shampoos, Saw Palmetto, Laser light therapy and other various vitamins Etc.

Clive Hair Clinics - Shampoos, Scalp massage, Azaelic acid, Takanal, Vitamins, Khanko Stimulants Etc.

I know this because when i was younger i wasted many dollars on these things.

I currently seek advice from Tony Pearce who is a Registered Trichologist in Sydney and find his advice to be very reassuring and professional.

And just for everyones info this isnt a Hair Club its basically one guy who runs the show and i dont believe that he is in it for the money as he basically doesnt take any profit just tells you what to need and where you can get it.

Cheers again.
