What causes DHT? Estrogen????????

I understand DHT is important for the body in many ways and I also understand many people believe it causes hair loss. I have always understood that DHT was created from testosterone but the websites below and a few others say this is a myth and DHT is actually created by estrogen.

I don't believe this, but what do others here think?

If estrogen causes DHT, why aren't more females bald? if this is true, why did a member of this forum who had a sex change reversed their baldness and regrew hair?

Surely this is rubbish?

It's absolute bullshit. DHT isn't made from estrogen.
