Okay so I'm 18 years old my father is a nw2 and isn't showing any signs of baldness same as everyone in my whole entire family, the worst is NW2 which everyone is!

So what I'm asking is what the f*** sparked my male pattern baldness? Is it not even male pattern baldness since I only receded to NW2? Of course I'm gunna still be taking finasteride and sh*t, but I'm just wondering how the hell I got it so early when they got it around 30-40 yrs old.

What the hell sparked it this early? Are there any tests out there in which you can spark the fuse for male pattern baldness really early without even knowing you're going to like eg. Bad diet? :freaked2:

Because I did have a bad diet very early in my life and it started around when I was 12 years old when I went into a sugar eating craze and ate candy A LOT. And I mean A LOT!

I stopped eating candy however about 4 months ago.

I used to smoke weed a lot, but stopped smoking it.

I wasn't really a healthy person considering eating habits etc.

-- I used to stress out a lot but have stopped.

Anyways if anyone else is in the same situation where no one in your family is past a nw2 or so and you got male pattern baldness sparked very early around age 18 - 20 let me know. I just wanna see how everyone stands!

18 is not an uncommon age to begin balding. Many on here started around that age. Looking at family is not a reliable method to determine your propensity. Expression of the genes can and does skip generations.

It's doubtful that a junky diet or stress did anything to "spark" it. In all likelihood, it was just your time.

Go to your doctor or dermatologist.

Yeah I think that many balding ppl actually become NW5-6 before they hit their 30's. Somehow I feel that diffuse thinning usually makes you pretty damn bald much earlier than receding.

Your genes, but some people develop a mature hairline at your age it just stays like that. Watch out for further temple recession or obvious thinning.
