My mother's cousin didn't die of lung cancer.

She died because her lungs were rotted, I don't remember the exact name of the disease.

Her heavy smokers relatives were somewhat relieved and they kept saying "it's not cancer so it's good."

She still died choking in her sleep. Why do you think cancer is the only thing you have to worry about when you smoke?

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is the disease you're talking about if I'm not mistaken.

Also I never claimed cancer was the only thing you have to worry about, that's also why I quit, because there are a myriad of problems that can arise from smoking, it quite literally can harm most organs in the body. I only mentioned lung cancer because you had the notion that the statistics I posted were wrong, hence why I felt the need to post even more evidence to further back my original claims.

Personally it's COPD that scared me the most and is the main reason I quit, seeing those adverts with smokers who have holes in their trachea certainly helped too.

Loss of taste and smell come to mind too. The negatives are infinite and I see only one positive: socializing with other smokers.

Another immediate negative I always noticed was the smell on my clothes, it wasn't particularly pleasant.

Also smokers tend to mention the protective effect against Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease, I always have a laugh at this one because this also is kind of false. It's not the smoking it's the nicotine that is beneficial for these diseases, which can be achieved with the use of nicotine gum or far safer smokeless tobacco products like snus.

Why would you want to socialize with people that smell like chimneys? A have a friend that complains he can't find nice girls. How the hell can you find them in clubs while they're grinding their asses on dudes while drinking and smoking like there's no tomorrow? My advice is to always steer clear of girls smoking or drinking. Those are insanely huge red flags.

I find some tattos on girls to be hot but clearly not girlfriend material that's for sure. I don't know how you can be with a girl that smokes. I can't even stay next to one, even their clothes have a nasty smell.

I hate my neighbors, I don't know what the **** they're smoking but when they do, even my house smells. Once we even had to go outside because we couldn't stand the smell. I hate living in communist tall buildings, **** that ****.

Although my mother has dodged the cancer bullet (so far), she may have been to blame for my father's pancreatic cancer, since she smoked like a chimney and subjected all of us to her secondhand smoke for years, in spite of his pleading for her to quit. She smoked when she was pregnant with my sister and me and never made an effort to quit when medical reports came out that secondhand smoke is also harmful. To this day, she's never apologized for putting our health at risk for making us breathe in her nasty smoke, which I just can't understand. I worry that I'll get cancer because of her carelessness. Years ago, smoking was allowed in public places, so smokers were allowed to pollute everyone's lungs with their smoke, not just their own.

Cigarette smoke has never been a healthy lifestyle choice for a number of reasons. Some more obvious than others.

It is entirely fair for us to conclude that quitting will never be a bad idea. It might even extend your life some?

Will quitting smoking guarantee you a lung-problem free existence? Of course not. Do many wrongs make smoking alright? I don't think so.
.
However when we look at the increasing data that which astoundingly reflects the waning quality of our environment due in great part to centuries of reckless industry practices,

overcrowding dwelling conditions, and/or auto-mobile emissions to name just a few.

In light of these constant environmental malefactors that are surrounding and pervading in or around us increasingly each year (particularly conducive to city populations)

many generally accepted health advantages/values commonly associated with tobacco cessation by consequence are depreciated or even lost.

Perhaps to state more cogently: Cigarette abstinence might mercifully save us only so long as it takes for the ever current smog effects exact their toll.

Meanwhile, take care and don't start. To those who have, stop now or as soon as you can and whether you stand here or over there, always remain aware or else beware.

Glad that I've found this thread! Interesting thoughts here. I thought there is no connection between Minoxidil and my skin issues, but now I have doubts.

I’ve noticed some dark circles too after months on minoxidil. It works for hair, but the skin side effects are real. I came across Skin Vitality reviews and started using a good eye cream. I've seen some improvement. What woks for you?

Perhaps a little. I use oral min and topical. But poor sleep deffo affects under eyes too. Cant blame it all on purely minoxidil. I had shitty eyes when I didnt sleep good and I wasnt even on min.
