What are the chances of getting gynocomastia with finasteride, and why did I get it?

I am developing gynocomastia and have erectile dysfunction at the moment. I was on it for two months. I am hoping that, now that I stopped finasteride, these symptoms will go away. Though I read that a kid who got it after four months of use developed gyno and still had it seven months after stopping usage. If I get on some kind of aromatase inhibitor do you think I can nip it in the bud?
What makes me different from everyone else who doesn't get it? Is it possible that I had low testosterone due to my generalized anxiety disorder (high cortisol = low testosterone) and that, in combination with the lowering of DHT, caused me to have high estrogen?
God, this is ****ing ridiculous.

Did your doctor say you have gyno? Is there much fibrous glandular tissue? Is it more fat? Have you considered the possibility that you're putting on weight due to decreased physical activity or an unhealthy diet? It could be fat.

I don't really know dude. It seemed to happen over the course of a few days, and the fact that my nipples are erect worries me. The shape of my breasts has also changed. The dermatologist didn't know much about it, so I'm going to go to an endocrinologist now. She told me that it would go away after I stop the medication, but from what I read on the Internet the only way to cure it is with surgery...
But anyway, I'll see what the endocrinologist says. Hopefully I can take something, like an aromatase inhibitor, to nip it in the bud...
Otherwise I'll have to go under the knife at some point...something that is not covered by insurance.

I experienced the same thing after ~2 years on finasteride. Gyno lumps usually take 1-2 years to really settle in. feel around your nipple and try to find glandular tissue. As long as you are off finasteride, it should slowly resolve. Nolvadex should help with the process as it is an estrogen receptor blocker and also can potentially reset you HPT hormonal loop. And if you think you are getting gyno, you probably are. sorry to be the barer of bad news but I was in denial at first too.

I wonder could you take an estrogen receptor blocker and remain on finasteride to avoid gynecomastia? In theory that should work right?

It should...but I still live with my parents for the time being and I don't think they want me turning my body into a laboratory. Maybe if the endocrinologist says it's okay. They think I'm crazy by the way, with all this gyno stuff. My mom admits she sees "swelling" though.

Ryukil, you have got out of hand with your endless threads, both here and HLH. I warned you about this last time. So you will be getting a 1 month ban. Hopefully, this gets the message across. I understand you suffer from some issues, which is why I gave you a lot of latitude. You need to see a dr over your issues, instead of posting so many threads!
