Does it melt the adhesive? Does it seep into the hair? Or does it dissolve back into your scalp?

i would have thought it melts into the glue. So the oil and sweat are what cause the bond to break down and become 'gooey' over time.

If it's on a lace system, it evaporates. If it's a skin system, it works it's way out, slowly.
