the main problem with hair transplants is that
1) there isnt enough donor hair a lot of the times
2) you continue to receed makin it SO obvious that you got work done.
3)you get a scar and nasty bumps preentng you from ever shaving your head again.

WHAT IF.....and i know this has been thought of, but ive never seen it ......you got the hair transplanted from your chest and shoulders, onto your head and then shaved it to a #1 or 2. That wayyou have PLENTY of donor hair, you wont get a scar on your head, and you could shave it really short so that it doesnt look like you have pubes growing out of your head. IT would look like you shave your head on purpose. I know theres some problem with this, but i dont know what it is.

there is not plenty of Donor hair on your chest. Look at how spread out they are. Harvesting there would be extremely labor intensive and thus ridiculously expensive. Maybe you should just harvest pubes or *** hairs.

HM might take 25 years or more..call me a pesimist..but it just seems too good to be true. I have enough hair on my *** to cover 2 full heads...so if anyones looking for some donor hair....just kidding! ; )..then youd have the problem of walking around with *** hair on your head..no thanks. Former Toronto mayor Mel Lastman got that done (body hair on his head)..and i hate to say it..but it looked pretty good. I would just shave it. I wonder how much that would run for. The guy on a sports network got one done here ( a regular trasnplant)..it looks awesome but he said it cost him 80 Grand. You get what you pay for. Oh well..just a thought

BHTs really should be considered as a last resort for donor and potentially repair work. A complete evaluation of one's scalp donor for density and graft potential along with consideration to one's own individual hair characteristics is the prudent way to go. Lots of guys also do what they can to slow down the hairloss with Propecia, Rogaine, etc.

Hair transplant surgery has come a long way over the years. More ultra-refined techniques are being employed by the "skilled surgeons" utilizing lateral slit incisions enabling greater dense-packing and yes even FUE methods.

Dr. Paul Rose in Tampa, FL recently introduced his version of the ledge closure technique which can greatly minimize the appearance of the linear scar in the donor area once complete healing has taken place.
