Wet the hair AFTER applying minoxidil to...

What happens if you wet the scalp up a little bit saaay 15 minutes after applying liquid minoxidil????? Will this increase absorption just like it would if you applied minoxidil after your scalp is wet?

I mean since the scalp is getting hydrated regardless, the remaining minoxidil on the scalp/the already absorbed minoxidil should absorb better within the 2-4hrs even if you apply some water to the scalp after a minoxidil application... :dunno:

So im Just wondering?

I use to think that putting a hot flannel over your balding head would open the pores in your skin to enable better minoxidil absorbtion. However the ingredients in the minoxidil solution already compensate this and the skin is semi permeable. The alcohol in the solution acts as vehicle to carry it more effectively to were it is needed and the ppg in the solution keeps it long enough on your skin for it to be absorbed. In other words you dont need to wet your scalp as doing this may wash the ingredients in place off the minoxidil solution that make it effective.
