wet hair/dry hair

Man its amazing the difference in my hair when it is wet compared to dry. When it is wet and under light it definitely shows signs of thinning, but when it is dry it puffs up and looks really thick with no real signs of thinning at all. I don't know if its always been this way or not I guess I'm just starting to look from every possible angle now.

Is this common for even people without male pattern baldness??
