Weird black grains in my scalp after starting Minoxidil

I wish I could take a picture but unfortunately my phone can't handle macro photography.

Ever since I started with 5% minoxidil I've got these tiny (like 0.5mm) little bits of black on my scalp, like little grains of black sand. Anyone else experience this? I can rub the stuff off of my scalp quite easily. Could my scalp be scabbing for some reason? Little follicles being aborted? Lice or something leaving **** behind? I have no idea. But it started 3 days after starting minoxidil so I can't imagine it's not related.

Would it be possible to see these black bits after photographing them normally, or are they so small that they're invisible to the naked eye?

I think you should see a Doctor and ask what it might be. Keep us updated.

Almost sounds like a follicular bulb. Not sure why those would be coming out though. Funnily enough after reading your question I realized that happens to me every now and then and never thought about it before. Mine look pretty much like perfect circular black grains too. So yeah please do keep us updated if you figure it out lol.
