Wash Out Hair Wax (gatsby) Before Applying Rogaine?

I apply hair wax (Gatsby) every morning few minutes or hours before Rogaine foam.
Question is, is it safe to apply Rogaine before bed without washing hair out that had already wax on it? Or should I really wash it out before applying Rogaine?

I wash out any product/fibers I have on my hair before I apply topicals. It does suck when you come home tired/drunk/whatever and don't feel like doing it, but it takes 1 minute to rinse your hair out and dry it, so I like to be on the safe side and just do it.
