Was Bryan pro finasteride?

I've read many of Bryan Sheltons posts. The guy was an expert for sure. However I cant come to the conclusion that the man was pro finasteride or not. He talks of its effectiveness but I never see anywhere him actually recommending the stuff.

Thoughts?

It seems to me that he would always counter peoples negative posts about finasteride. But at the same time he was never like I use it and or telling people they should use it. He just always backed up its safety and efficacy from the studies.

I read that he had stopped treating his hair loss back in 2009
Maybe earlier and that he was on the forums for purely academic purposes.

He told me before that if he was a younger guy he would have probably tried it back when I asked him if he used it. So he didnt use it, but I think he was just past that stage and too old for it to have been much help. He was a very smart guy though when it came to knowledge on hair loss. He definately though leaned towards topicals which who can honestly argue that. The problem is we still dont have much that works even topical spironolactone has flimsy evidence. The key to male pattern baldness is doing it topically somehow with minimal sides hopefully CB is that treatment.
