ok, so for three years now I've been a minoxidil 5%/finasteride user with decent results. Definitely a responder.

I've been using 5% Rogaine minoxidil, one application at night, 1ml on the front, 1ml on the back.

Ok?

So it's pretty much long since levelled off and I still have room to increase thickness on the back. I'm ok, otherwise. Still a bit diffuse, but if the back would fill in completely I'd be set until hedgehog or MH comes out.

I plan to do this and want to know if I would see increased results seeing as I am already a responder:

TWO applications (moring and night instead of just night) now either

a morning application of Dr.Lee's faster drying minoxidil 5%.

and then an evening application of either Xandrox 15 or the 12.5 solution.

OR two applications (morning and night) of, say, 12.5 in the morning, hoping that it isn't as messy as Rogaine, and Xandrox 15 at night.

Thoughts? Either way, am I going to see an increase, enough to put me over the top? Imo, this will be a dramatic increase in something I've already responded to. :freaked:

You haven't considered using the foam?

I think if you've had good results on minoxidil once/day and finasteride, you will simply need to just do a 2/day application of minoxidil and you will probably notice some improved results.

The foam is the easiest to apply and produced better results than the liquid delivery method. It is also cheap. Save the more expensive Xandrox or Spectral DNC stuff for later on if the 2/day doesn't work for you. You can get the foam really cheap on ebay.

not interested in the foam, at all. Not interested in a slightly more efficient 5%, I want to unleash a shock and awe campaign until the HM or hedgehog comes out.

Can someone please answer my original post without offering any other, although much appreciated, advice?

Thanks!

You're missing my point. I said going to two per day would be likely be enough to give you sufficient results. I believe that foam also works more than just slightly better than regular minoxidil and there's other reasons to use it too.

If you want "shock and awe" go on dutasteride, internal/topical spironolactone, Revita/NANO shampoo, proxiphen, Spectral RS, Copper Peptides, Apple Polyphenol, etc.

This is why people use the Big 3 and don't do "shock and awe", but please be our guest. :)

Ahem. I'm familiar with the foam. I'm totally not interested. I'm familiar with dutasteride. I've been on the big three for three years.

You got all that, right?

Can somelse else please tell me what they think as pertaining to my original question without now giving me all the charts and graphs for foam?

hey..not tryin to be rude...but you probably arent going to get much help from people around here if you come in with an attitude like that..fairtax was trying to help you out, not trying to get under your skin.....other than foam he recommended like 5 other things. Applepoly and spectral RS as fairtax suggested I think you would notice some significant regrowth..possibly even spectral DNC or maybe you can check into fluridil depending on where you're from

where do hedgehogs fit into all this?

Hedgehog feces has been used for centuries by Native Americans as a scalp/skin treatment. It is currently undergoing clinical studies for use as a topical for male pattern baldness.

Dave,

He didn't even get it, which is why he's getting posts suggested hedgehog feces now.

The main part of my suggestion was going to 2/day applications of minoxidil as his upgrade. I mean who goes from 1/day minoxidil and THEN wants to go on the Big 20. Going from liquid minoxidil to the foam was a secondary recommendation but apparently went straight over the head. Hey I still don't mind offering help. Ideally the OP should've done the research and came to his own conclusion that 2/day minoxidil would be the most logical place to start.

Finish line,
I would suggest using 5% minoxidil in the AM and xandrox 15 in the PM.

(This suggestion is based on my experience, and the choices from which you wanted to choose one).

Oh, no, I'm rude because I didn't want to take the advice being forced down my throat.

Aka, I read the first response, I didn't need it amplified in a second, I just needed my question answered.

To the poster above, so going 5% in the morning and Xandrox is a good solution, huh?

The widely varying percentages still works ok?

What was your experience, if I may ask?

finishline,
I went to NW6 before getting on finasteride.

For me xandrox 15 is the only topical that gave me regrowth in the front third of my scalp. ( i have tried Lee's all possible topicals, proxiphen-N, spironolactone (2% and 5%), nano shampoo, minoxidil with retin-A, rogaine foam.
Foam couldn't hold on to hairs grown by xandrox 15. I stopped it and started again after 6 months.
Xandrox 15 is bringing back the hairs I lost in my front again. (not significant regrowth though).

Hey, glad to hear it's working for you!

For me, 5% once at night and 1/6 finasteride was enough to bring me back from the total brink. Even on the front, minoxidil filled in my hairline.

But the back is still not quite where it needs to be.

Sounds like Xandrox is very powerful.

Why do you recommend 5% in the morning rather than 12.5%?

finishline.
you are welcome
Lee's 12.5% is not as userfriendly as his 5%. It will be greasy (not as bad as xandrox 15).
Perhaps you can try it and see if it reasonable for the AM application.
