Want to stop minoxidil, shampoo questions

Hi,

I'm 25 and a diffuse thinner. I started losing my hair around 21 i think.

I've been using minoxidil for 6 months, at first it worked pretty good on the front, definately added density but never did much for the crown which is my real concern. Recently, my hair has pretty much gone back to what it looked like before I started minoxidil.

I figure if minoxidil can only delay my hairloss by 6 months, its really not worth it, especially given that it' a real pain to put on twice a day and then I have to be so cautious around my cats (can never touch my head, have to wash my hands several times after application and still the smell remains, cant lay down on my pillow, etc).

Anyways, I also use Revita, which I'm not sure if it works or not. I saw some Nutri-Ox in the supermarket and it seemed a bit more comprehensive. Does anyone have any experience with it? I can't find many posts about it here. I've used Nioxin 3-part system in the past with little to no results.

I also want to give Adenogen or Spectral RS a shot. I know they aren't backed by serious studies and not many people here use it but I figure it's worth a try. If I do decide to use it however, I read that the caffeine in Revita and the Adenosine work on the same receptor and so shouldn't be used close to each other. Does anyone have any further information about this?

If none of this works and I get a terrible shed from stopping minoxidil (which I hope won't come to pass since I haven't responded that well to it), I'll just buzz my hair with a #1 or #2 and be ugly, screw it.

Other than that, I don't use finasteride because I had painful nipples after only 3 days on it (only stayed on it for a week). Also, my hair transplant Doctor says that I have a worse than average supply of donor hair, so not much hope down that road.

I really appreciate any suggestions or advice you can give me :)

Thanks!
