Im using Propecia (for over 8 months now) and on most days I see minimal hair shedding (few hairs here and there). Then there are days like today, where I ran a comb through it and began to shed a tear because the comb looked like a jungle. I like to grow my hair out, but there are days where I have to keep it short. I have most of my hair, and had a transplant surgery last Febraury (1400 grafts) to replace the hair I lost in my temporal area (only place I seem to be losing siginificantly from). Im still concerned over the procedure, becasue ive heard it can take anywhere from 6 months to 2 years to see the full growth from the transplant.
20/20 (ABC News) did a special last week witih five people, each taking one form of the most popular hair loss treatmens on the market. One used Propecia, one used Rogain, one used Vivscal, one used the laser comb, and the last had a free hair transplant procedure done to him, at a cost of roughly 10,000 US.
The best results were recorded by the man who had the transplant, naturally. The next best results were a virutal tie between Propecia and Viviscal. The laser comb actually appeared to be working. The Rogain, surprisingly, had the least affect.
Im wanting to try out Viviscal but needed some guideance, ratings, and/or recommendations. This is the only forum that im comfortable with becasue everyone seems very genuine, and wanting to help each other out. Some forums I feel are sales people just trying to earn a buck. Please reply and let me know if youve tried it, know someone who's tried it, and what recommendation you may have. Thanks...
