So I'm hearing large doses (in grams!) of vitamin B5 reduce acne a lot
http://www.ergo-log.com/vitamin-b5-acne.html

The were some discussions earlier about sebum being the main cause of hair loss, and at least the two are somehow related

I was reading a few experimental setipiprant logs, they all report drier face skin, and I think I saw something about setipiprant in context of acne, but can't find it now

Anyway, would vitamin B5 work/have similar effect?

Yes, I have a friend who used B vitamins to deal with her skin complaints. She was told her chronic anxiety had somehow depleted her B vitamins (I think!) and inflame her skin. Anyway, I remember her telling me she'd noticed some improvements. Nothing dramatic, but it helped.

On forums for acne, megadosing of Vitamin B5 was very trendy for a while, as it has Accutane-like skin drying effects. Many of those people reported significant hair loss, which is similar to what some experience on Accutance. I wouldn't recommend it.
