I have a very strange issue in regard to my own person hairless that that I was hoping someone could help me solve. Since about January, my hair has been gradually thinning at a rather fast pace. As it stands, I've lost about 60% of my hair density and its getting to the point where its becoming difficult to hide. When I lose hair, it seems to be very sudden, like one day theirs hair there and the next their isn't. One a couple occasions, within HOURS. A small spot on my head that was seemingly fine a few hours when I looked in the mirror, is now drastically thinned out. As of recently, that's what has started to happen across my hairline. My hairline itself is still more or less intact, it matured into what it is when I was about 23 (i'm 27) its just the diffused thinning is starting to take a tole on it. The issue is even presenting itself on the back and sides of my head. Albeit, not as bad as the top of the scalp, but you could still see it if start moving everything around. I voiced my concerns to my general practitioner and she didn't think it was androgenic, where as my dermatologist said it was so I'm kind of hard pressed on who to believe here. The dermatologist fresh out of med school or the GP who's been at it for 30 years. In addition to that, I've recently started noticing small bald patches and strips all over my beard, like bugs have eaten away it or something. I figured they had just been there so I didn't think much of it until I noticed my facial hair becoming more disconnected through the weeks. Even some hair on my pubic region has thinned out to almost nothing. My blood work and scalp biopsy came back clean and 3 weeks of finasteride haven't stopped the patterns of shedding. If anyone could help shed some light on whats going on here, I'd really appreciate it because I am so confused.
