Velus hair turn terminal, when/if cut?

Wondering if you cut your velus hair, will it turn terminal quicker.

Been on the big 3 for 4 plus months, i have velus hair on my temples and a few have slowly started to darken up (around my hairline). ive always had 1 terminal hair that never fell out (around my original hairline), but when i trimmed it back with the scissors, i cut some velus hair around it. Now theres two new terminal hairs beside the original.

Curious if anyone else has had this happen to them?

i think the hair has to complete the growth cycle,shed then grow back terminal , im pretty sure cutting it won't make a difference. someone correct me if im wrong.
