Vellus hairs

can anyone tell me how long vellus hair are in inches? (distinguishing between vellus and terminal)

vellus are tiny, often almost invisible to the eye, very fine and without pigment (colour). I suppose after a couple of millimeteres of growth they would no longer be considered vellus.

Think 'velvet' for 'vellus' and you should get the idea.

thanks for the reply... i considered my hairline to be norwood 3... however, i have these light light/fine hairs about 2/3 inch long extending to my original Norwood 1 or place..

btw, it is confusing, cause i used to be a blonde (and these new hair seem to be blonde), but my hair is med brown now
