so it's been almost 7 weeks on minoxidil for me, using the foam. i've got lots of nice new hairs comming in on my hairline but they are still mostly vellus hairs, slowly becomming more pigmented and thicker. does it usually take a long time for these new hairs to turn into full blown regular hairs? i mean generally speaking. i'm sure it differs for everyone but i'm looking for your experience if you have any.
also, when i started finasteride and rogaine i lost alot of hair, as in i lost about 60% of the density i had in the front. it's been hellishly thin since then (over a month). my thoughts were that the shed i had forced my hairs that were nearing the end of their cycle to fall out, and now it's taking a little longer for them to start a new cycle and emerge again...is this right?
sorry for stupid questions but i'm very anxious to see how well i will respond to minoxidil, so far my resluts are great but i'm just praying they won't stop. my hairline has gone from NW3 to a NW2, most of those hairs are vellus still though. using a flashlight shining it along my forehead i can see small vellus hairs sprouting at the level of an NW1 hairline, somewhere hair hasn't been since i was 17. i wonder if those will ever have enough strength to be healthy again.
