Using Tricomin and Emu Oil

Hey All,

I was just wondering how often I should apply tricomin and emu oil. Usually before bed I use some tricomin and then massage a little emu oil afterwards. I also use tricomin after I shower in the morning.
I've been noticing lately that my hair and scalp don't feel too clean...kinda sticky, and the tricomin sort of causes a hair sprayish gelling together effect that I don't really like.
My question is.. would I be better served using tricomin before going to bed and not in the morning? Is one application (15 sprays) enough per day? For the record I shower every morning (3x a week with nizoral). Thanks.

My personal opinion is that tric is great stuff - but it's not the end all and be all. Your cutting back to 1x daily before bed is fine - and shouldn't provide any less results than the 2x daily.

I've cut back to every other night - sometimes w/ emu on top and sometimes not.

Thanks for the input.

Do you (or anyone else) know what the actual recommended/official usage is per day of tricomin... once a day at 20 sprays or something? Btw, having any luck with your regimen?

10 - 15 spritzes for me is enough to soak my scalp. The bottle (or Dr. Pickart) says to use 1 - 2x daily. Like I said - it's so expensive I've cut back to every 2nd or 3rd day.

Luck w/ my regimen? Not as much as I'd like - but I'm having a good hair day today!

:woot:

Do you put your minomuck, tricomin spray and emu oil all on together or skip the minomuck all together when you put this stuff on?

sorry to kinda go off topic, but what exactly is minomuck, i've heard people use that term before but never bothered to ask what it is exactly

I like to keep my topicals as far away from one-another as possible to avoid any possible complications (except in the case of tricomin and emu oil which are supposed to be good together).

My daily routine changes slightly on a daily basis - but for the most part . . .

emu oil or polysorbate 80 (or aloe vera gel) before morning shower;
minomuck after morning shower;
TTO or retin-a after work;
minomuck after dinner or before bed; or,
tricomin and/or emu oil before bed.

Minomuck is Joe Zix's home-made version of scalpmed. He provides the liquid beta-sit and saw-p., which you add to your own 5% liquid minoxidil base. I use Dr. Lee's 5%.
