Using Finnasteride Long Term And Side Effects

I'm 29 right now and I think I'm getting mild side effects from finasteride - been using it for 4 months. My sex drive and semen levels are still ferociously strong but my erections don't seem to be as hard as they used to be. I'm not sure if it's the finasteride or my excessive masturbation (I masturbate wayyyyyyy too much). I've been using cialis everyday and I've gotten my super rock hard boners back

Anyways, let's say I use finasteride for 15-20 years + the cialis and then I just say f*ck it, stop using finasteride...will I have permanently damaged my ability to get an erection? or will it revert back to normal?

Am I damaging my body by continuing to do what I'm doing now?

To my understanding the penile tissue changes for some as a reaction to finasteride but typically goes back to normal if you stop. I myself suffered much more severe sides and it began with softer erections and turned into none along with no sex drive. Having stopped a few weeks ago it feels like it's going back to normal but I was only on it a year.

My suggestion is to wait it out a bit and be mindful the sides don't progress, but also don't worry yourself into causing said side effects.

If it doesn't bother you then carry on but if you start to get brain fog then stop.

its a thing. I have probably 10% less boner intensity and sex drive which really isn't a problem. I have noticed though that if I fap too much there will be a fairly large crash where I will have no sex drive for a day or two however on the other hand if I don't fap/have sex I will get just as horny before finasteride.

Also noticed the propensity of gaining belly fat. I have taken roughly 2 months of finasteride twice and both times I have gotten very shredded and defined again although it is not like I can't maintain a fit physique whilst on it either so the sides don't bother me too much.

Your symptoms are pretty normal to my understanding. If they don't progress then I'd say you're good to go. My only concern would be the use of something like cialis could mask an issue if it did progress. If you notice a 10 percent drop then take that to get 100, you might not notice it hits 50 eventually when not taking cialis. I'm not a doctor but if I was in your position I'd not take cialis and just keep trucking with the finasteride while not worrying. If you notice it gets worse or other symptoms pop up then start plotting a decision, in the meantime though worrying can only make things worse.

Yes it does. It reduces igf1 and a hormone responsible for your metabolic rate. It’s a feminizing drug after all, it will “round you up”. As for the guy claiming huge erections that’s from the initial increase in total T and probably because his pituitary is now struggling to release other hormones such as prolactin, he will know soon enough when his sleep quality goes to sh*t. Eventually T levels drop significantly which is what the drug is supposed to be doing, it’s a T blocker not a DHT blocker. His LH also drops which is why folks, who have or are close to having secondary hypogonadism aka LH production is low as hell, will not survive the drug for more than a semester without obvious changes in facial structure and energy levels.

holy moly, you guys blame finasteride for everything

I've been on it for 4 or 5 months now...I'm the leanest and most muscular I've ever been. Face looks very masculine

finasteride is a fairly weak drug

No, what rounds you up is having a sh*t diet.

You are a clear example of a clueless forum goblin provoking someone for an answer because your “insecurity” alarm is beeping. Try again with a better attitude and I will explain further.

You're saying finasteride is not a dht blocker and you're calling others clueless

I didn’t say that. I said eventually it is meant to be a T blocker because that’s what it does. Why do you think it’s being taken on mtf situations? Why do you think regrowth is present in people with lower levels of T? Why do you think so many people suffer from sides? Oh wait you think you know sh*t because you read studies. Secondary hypogonadism doesn’t happen because of high E2 or low DHT. And I am still not going to spoon feed you because your attitude is horrible and you are reluctant to learn. Period.

it’s a T blocker not a DHT blocker.

Lol bobster123 hi again
