Using Double-sided Tape Over Bio Hair.

As my new unit is larger than my bald spot, and as I'm too afraid to cut it myself, I would't mind using it as is.

My only question: Do strong tape adhesives cling well to very short bio hair? I have a few days' growth after shaving head entirely, and this piece is, as specified, larger than the area which needs coverage.

If your system base is bigger than your bald spot, the extra inches of perimeter base will be on top of your bio hair. I don't think that is a good idea at all.

Bio hair is freshly shaved to stubble. Hmm

I should just get another damn piece from Lord.

If you have a mold of your bald spot, better to cut piece for a perfect fit. Only cut side and back and leave front hairline as delivered (except excess clear skin) lots of youtube videos on internet
Google search "cutting thin skin hairpiece"
A bit a patience, using a removable marker, using a mold (or previous hairpiece as guide) good scissors and you should be able to do it yourself

It just seems too difficult.

I hate this Skin Base; it's so goddamn hot to wear and, if what you're saying is true, I have no interest in having v-looped hair.

Lord's customer service is an utter joke. I want to continue to use them because they, for stock pieces, cut the base to your specs and the hair to a few options they have.

Everything w Lord has seemed impressive beyond this enormous tangling problem, which I never had in my first two units, both French.

I like the idea of wearing a full poly piece, but if V LOOPS are brittle, then I'll forget about them.

Do it right...Spend less than 30 minutes to make a template and cut the system to the template. Do half-*** and expect half-*** results.

Where do you live? I live in Florida where it's consistently mid-to-upper 90s. I have always been a very warm person and do sweat. To be honest I can't tell the difference wearing my .03 skin temp wise. They are gas permeable. It's not like you have Saran wrap on your head. Don't get me wrong if it irritates you then it irritates you but that's not my experience with them for about a year in a very hot humid climate.

No mold - everything has been destroyed. I'm wearing this 108 dollar poly piece from amazon, and I really like it.

My biggest concern w it is that you said V Lopped hair can't be brushed while wet? How can you even get a cut-in?

Definitely more interested in using pieces than lace ones, but I used to depend on Lord Hair's precuts, something I wouldn't do myself

I've also heard V Loops can't tolerate brushing while wet; I don't like that at all.
Any hair including the hair growing out of your head does not like being brushed wet because that's when at its weakest form.... It's certainly not specific to V loops or poly. I have a thin skin at 4 months that has very minimal hair loss. Looks-wise doesn't appear to have lost any. They will only look as good and last as long as you take care of them.... if you beat the hell out of it brushing it like crazy... then no hair system is going to give you great results or longevity.

I use ultra hold tape or super tape on the back, center, sides and ultra hold glue on the hairline.

How often you do the cleanup and reattachment? like week or every 2 weeks?

No. I have oily skin, 7 to 10 days on Perimeter and 3 days for hairline. From what I see, most people on here that can go two or three weeks still choose to do it every 7 to 10 days for Hygiene reasons.
