Hi all!
My name is Arthur. I'm suffering from androngenic alopecia since some 10 years. I'm 32 right know. First medication I used was minoxidil 2%. But it caused me a significant shedding and, because I wasn't correctly informed I thinked it was only worsing the hair loss and stoped some 2 or 3 months after that. After the minoxidil I used fina 1 mg for some 4-5 months and the hair continued to fall and so I started to quit any form of treatment. Some 5 years I decided to inform myself better and re-started to do minoxidil 5% once a day and fina 1 mg. The results seemed to exist but they were to small. For the last 5 months I'm using also the ketoconazol 2% shampoo and right now the hair loss is stopped. My question is: since the ketoconazol have anti-androgen activity could it be potentiating the anti-androgen activity of finasteride? Can I associate dutasteride 0.5 mg or should replace the fina with it in order to achieve a better anti-androgen activity?
Many thanks
